Paracas / Ica / Nazca

Paracas, about 240 Kms to the south of Lima.  In Paracas, humboldt current created an enviroment where aquatic life coluld flourish, encouraging abundant growth of plankton and phytoplankton, essential components for maine life.  There is an astronishingly diverse variety of bilogical life.

Ica, about 300 Kms to the south of Lima.

In Ica is the center of wine an pisco production in Peru.  Tours to the local vineyards can be arrenged.  The Ica archeolofical museum is known for its fine examples of regional tetiles and pottery.

 Nazca, about 420 kms to the south of Lima.

In Nazca was the seat of a Pre-Incaic civilization highly advanced in both astronomy and ceramic art.  Today enormous figures of animals, birds and people etched in the desert sands, visible only from the air, remain as testimony to this remarkable culture

 
 

SIGHT SEEING TOURS  TO PARACAS / ICA ( NAZCA):

PROGRAM BASIC

 

DAY 01 Morning departure from Lima, drive south to Nazca (about 7 hours)
On route visit arceological Ica museum and enjoy from Nazca tower.
Evening arrival at Nazca selected hotel.
DAY 02 Morning overflight of the Nazca markings.
After overflight, city tour of Nazca including Chauchilla tombs.
P.M. Drive Nazca to Paracas.  Evening arrival at Paracas selected hotel.
DAY 03 Early morning yacht cruise to the Ballestas islands, inhabited by boobies, pelicans, sea lions and humboldt penguins; see the candelabro on the way to the islands, ( boat tour takes about 2 hours).
After cruise, drive from Paracas to Lima (about 4 hours)

PAR-OP1 FULL DAY PARACAS BY CAR INCLUDING LUNCH
Early Morning drive Lima to Paracas, on route visit Pachacamac ruin;
Exlanded San Jose & Paracas museum and enjoy paracas bya view.
After lunch, drive paracas to Lima.
ICA-OP1 FULL DAY ICA BY CAR INCLUDING LUNCH.
Early morning drive Lima to Ica, overflight Nazca lines from Ica by Cessna, after lunch visit Huacachina oasis and museum, return to Lima.
NAZ-OP1 OVERFLIGHT NAZCA LINES TOUR FROM LIMA, INCLUDING LUNCH
Departure from Lima airport, in ica airport change to small aircraft to observe from air, after flight lunch at local restaurant after lunch visit ica museum, evening return to lima airport.
